Hello friends and family!!

We taught Lisa again this week which went pretty well!! But she didn't come to church which was pretty sad but she'll get there. :) we didn't see Michael at all because he has been at the hospital for some tests for his heart so he didn't come to church either because of it. We met a guy named Paul who we talked to for quite a bit and he was really interested in becoming a missionary and telling people about God all around the world but he wasn't interested in learning more about our church so that was anticlimactic.

We had Zone Conference this week again which was a lot of fun! I got to see Sister Lundahl again which was fun! And also my MTC companion Sister Farnsworth! We learned a lot about how we need to use the Atonement more so we can really teach people about it authentically. I really enjoyed it and appreciated all the instruction we received! We met some cool less actives this week as well and we are excited to start working with them! Yesterday was Mother's Day here so the primary children sang a song and it was adorable. Then a cute little girl bore her testimony and said she missed her mom who is in Spain (I think?) and she started crying and I started crying as well because I'm the same little girl.

Then today we played Laser Tag as a zone and it was AWESOME. So that was my week. I'm stoked for General Conference this weekend!!! It's going to be great to hear from our wonderful leaders.

Love you all so much!! xx

Heyyyyyyyy

This week flew by!!!!! But we saw some pretty cool miracles!! On Wednesday, Sister Pinther and I decided we were going to find someone new to teach. LITERALLY the last person we talked to before going into our flat was that someone. We set up an appointment with her the next day. So Thursday comes ANNNNNNNND she cancelled on us....So that was great. BUT THEN we decided to try by Lisa who we have not been able to come into contact with for like a month. We were talking to people on the way to her house and we were getting into the longest conversations with people which is pretty rare in Grimsby so the fact that it was almost every person we stopped was crazy. We finally got to Lisa's and we knocked a few times with no luck BUT JUST WHEN WE THOUGHT ALL HOPE WAS LOST!!!!!!!!!!! We turn and GUESS WHO IS WALKING UP THE STREET?!?!?!? LISA!!!!!!!!! So we talked to her for a bit and she invited us in for a cup of juice and she told us she had something pretty big happen to her and that that was the reason she lost contact with us but she is still interested!!! So we set up another appointment with her for Tuesday!! It was amazing because literally everything that happened that day leading up to that moment was timed so perfectly so that we could get back in contact with her!! Man it was awesome.

Then yesterday Michael came to church again! And Sister Pinther gave a great talk on service that got the ward misty eyed a bit. I was very proud of her she did awesome!! It has been such a great week and this week is going to be even better!! I hope you all have a great week! xx

Love you and miss you ALL!

Ah man this week was long. It was really good though!! Just a lot of things happened.

Tuesday...I GOT PROPOSED TO. There was this guy we stopped to talk to who was named John and he was about 60. He randomly asked if we had children and we told him no so he told us about his kids. We told him we eventually will have kids once we go back to America and find a husband and so he starts telling us that he is single and that he's a great guy so he turns to me and goes "will you marry me?? Will you please marry me??" I told him no.

Yesterday Michael came to church again! And he even stayed for more than just the first hour! It was so good! We basically have just seen a lot of less-actives this week and waited in anticipation for yesterday because we had TRANSFER CALLS. No one in our district changed though so it wasn't anything too crazy. At the end of this transfer I will have been in Grimsby for 6 months. AND I will be half way done! CRAZYYY.

I hope you have a great week and I love and miss you all! xx

ZONE CONFERENCE

Man this week was good!!

We had Zone Conference which was amazing!! It
was focused on finding through the members and since that Zone
Conference we have received 3 referrals from members. THAT HAS NOT
BEEN HAPPENING THE WHOLE 7 MONTHS OF MY MISSION SO THANK YOU PRESIDENT
TURVEY FOR BEING INSPIRED. It feels so good to know that we are going
to have actual solid investigators. It's funny because we'll ask
members who they know and they say "no one" so then we make them think
more and we kneel and pray with them right there and then they always
think of someone. Every time. And we are still continuing to find more
people through our own efforts as well.

Also Michael came to church
yesterday and stayed longer than he usually does. YAY FOR PROGRESSION.
Anyway that's about it for this week. I love you and miss you all!! xx

Have a great week!

"Carrie"ing out His gospel

Heyyyyyy

So we found a new investigator this week named Carrie!!...She dropped us yesterday...BUT it was still a cool experience. We found her while knocking and she said we could come back and teach her. So we went
back and she was blasting Night Changes by One Direction so immediately I already knew this was going to be a good experience. We taught her the Restoration and the spirit was so strong! She said she wasn't expecting much out of us coming but she actually enjoyed it and she accepted the invitation to be baptised if she finds out it's true.
Well she texted us yesterday and said we shouldn't come over anymore because she didn't feel anything special about the Book of Mormon but that's because she didn't pray about it so we invited her to do that.

But it was still cool and she will be ready one day to accept it. That was just the beginning. :) other than that nothing too exciting happened. This week should be good! Love you all and I hope you have an amazing week! xx

Hello hello!!

On P Day last week we had zone P Day in Hull and we played soccer, ultimate frisbee, and football for about 3 or 4 hours. It was so much fun!! But the next day we sure were feeling it. We could barely walk which is a big problem in missionary work but we pushed through. :) we had some training and interviews on Wednesday in Hull. I really learned a lot! And it was good to talk to President Turvey of course!

We had exchange with the STLs in Hull on Thursday which was a lot of fun! I was with Sister Pro. She commented on how I had a funny walk so good to know it hasn't changed I guess. We saw Michael on Saturday and we really focused on his faith in Jesus Christ because we realised that's the most important thing and what our purpose is here. Our purpose isn't to get people to come to our church. Our purpose is to invite others to come into Christ. So instead of focusing so much on pushing him towards baptism (though baptism is really important) we decided to focus on building his faith in Jesus Christ. When we do that, the baptisms come. :)

Yesterday we found a couple from Romania and they were asking us why we were in England so we told them and we mentioned that we tell people about Jesus Christ and build their faith in Him and the girl was like "will you tell us?!" So yeah we'll be seeing them this week. :) it was a very good week and we look forward to another good one!

Have a great week everyone! xx

Hey hey hey

I hope all of your weeks were good. Mine was great. Sister Pinther are continuing to get along great and I grow to love her more and more each day haha. We got in contact with Lisa and so we taught her about tithing and fasting and she was willing to do both once she is baptised. Unfortunately, she didn't come to church yesterday. But we still have faith that she will come around. Michael is about the same except he's a bit more ill so we haven't been able to see him much and he didn't come to church yesterday either. But I do think we are getting somewhere with him finally so it should be anytime soon that he gets baptised!

Funny Story: a few weeks ago Sister Lundahl were Street contacting and we were trying to talk to this guy but he said "I'm sorry I really need to catch a train but just pop by 202 on this road another time!" So we were stoked about that. Well. Sister Pinther and I popped by a few days ago a different guy answers so I just did a regular door approach and he says "ugh. You guys are religious freaks. And you're American. Right okay, here are 2 things I hate more than anything: 1. Adults who believe in God. Grow up, he's not real. 2. Americans. I hate Americans. Bye!!" And then slammed the door. Seriously English people are so savage, man. But we just looked each other and just started laughing. You just have to laugh at those moments.

So that was basically my week.

Love you all! xx
